For this recipe, I like to infuse Gold ‘n Soft. It has just about everything I need to create an easy spread with no cholesterol & hydrogenated oils, zero trans fats per serving and the great taste of butter. With just how easy it is to spread, I don’t have to wait for my butter to come to room temperature to mix herbs. I just head to my local Fred Meyer stores and pick it up in the dairy aisle. I like to pick up the 15oz tub because it is compact and can easily store in my small refrigerator.

The best part about this recipe is just how simple it is to create. In 5 minutes, you’re ready to go. You can give your family a new flavor with just about any herb you choose. You can even throw in a bit of garlic for an added burst of flavor. Toast and cut up a few pieces of bread to spread over the infused butter to have with morning eggs or fruits.

Ingredients

  • 15oz tub of Gold ‘n Soft butter – use a 1/2 cup per serving
  • 3-4 tbs of your favorite herb(s) (depending on flavor preference, use more or less – mix and match)

Recipe

  1. Finely chop herbs.
  2. Using a 1/2 cup of Gold ‘n Soft butter, mix in herbs a little at time and taste before adding more. Remember that you can use as little or as much as you would like depending how powerful of flavor you want.
  3. Mix herbs into butter thoroughly.
  4. Use infused butter right away or refrigerate in a container for up to 6 weeks.

The possibilities are endless with this recipe. I like to use lemon thyme or even chocolate mint herbs to infuse my butter. Depending on what I am using it for. Spread over meats for a flavorful baste.
