Vampirina is one of the newest shows on Disney Junior and she is coming home on DVD on October 17, 2017. Just in time for Halloween! Vampirina enjoys making music videos and learning about her new surroundings with her friends. Her whole family has moved from Transylvania to Pennsylvania. Vampirina (aka Vee) is learning how to be herself in a very different world. My daughter has instantly fallen for Vampirina. She relates to Vee in her love for making music videos. Plus, my daughter has always been into more of the “spooky” side of things so she loves that Vampirina is a vampire. To celebrate the release of Vampirina on DVD, we made Vampirina Cupcakes and we want to share with you how to make your own.
Vampirina on Disney DVD will include four 22-minute episodes. Owning Vampirina makes it easy to watch at home or on-the-go. I personally like having our favorite Disney Junior shows on DVD for travel. As someone who also recognizes some of the voice talents, I’m excited for Lauren Graham and Wanda Skyes lending their voices for the show. I had some fan-girl moments myself.
These Vampirina cupcakes are perfect to celebrate bringing Vampirina home on Disney DVD. Great for Vampirina party theme ideas, movie nights, and more.

Putting It All Together
Bake cupcakes per instructions on the box. Let cool and frost with purple frosting. Set the cupcakes aside.
After printing the Vampirina bat wing pigtails template, place it under parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Melt the baking chocolate per instructions on the label. Using a skewer, dip it into the melted chocolate and trace on the parchment paper the bat pigtails template. Fill in the tracing with more chocolate. Cover all of the templates with chocolate thick enough to not break.
Place the cookie sheet with the chocolate bat pigtails into the freezer for about 5-10 minutes. You want to ensure the chocolate is lifting from the parchment paper so they nearly slide off onto a plate.
Carefully remove the chocolate from the parchment paper and press each bat wing pigtail into each side of the cupcake. Make sure they are secure and do not begin falling over. Pipe the pink icing around the bottom of each wing for Vampirina’s pigtail bands.
Enjoy the cupcakes are a Vampirina party or movie night!
