Jump to Recipe

Balsamic Glazed Carrots will bring any roasted carrot to its full potential of flavor. If you need a great vegetable side dish for the holidays or for a family dinner, give these a try.

Roasted carrots with balsamic glaze create a beautiful presentation without a lot of work. I find that with the sweet side of carrots and the savory flavor of balsamic vinegar, this side dish will give that savory and sweet flavor that a lot of people love.

What kind of carrots should I use for roasted Balsamic Glazed Carrots?

A lot of people use baby carrots for glazed recipes. I prefer Rainbow Carrots because they add a lot of color to the plate. It looks stunning!

What you need to make Roasted Carrots with Balsamic Glaze

  • Baby Carrots or Rainbow Carrots
  • balsamic vinegar
  • honey
  • parsley

How to make Balsamic Glazed Carrots

Start by roasting your carrots separately. For an easy way to roast carrots to a perfect tender texture, try roasting them in the air fryer first.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Simmer the two together until reduced by half. This will take about 15-minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally until the mixture sticks to the back of the spoon.

Remove the glaze from heat and let it slightly cool. Drizzle the roasted carrots with the glaze and garnish with parsley. Serve warm.

This glaze can easily be drizzled over two bunches of carrots or coated over a 1 pound bag of baby carrots. Double for a larger gathering or a larger plate.
