Bring an old classic to the table with something new. This will be in your favorite casserole recipes in no time.
One of the biggest questions for making great mac in cheese is how to make it gooey. No one likes watered down mac and cheese, right? The secret is using a heavier cream than milk.
Try using heavy cream or sour cream in your next homemade mac and cheese recipe for gooey goodness!

What You Need to Make BBQ Chicken Mac and Cheese:
- macaroni elbows cooked and drained
- mixed blend shredded cheese
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- barbecue pulled chicken package cooked as directed *
*I prefer using Lloyd’s Hardwood Smoked and Seasoned Pulled Chicken with Sauce. It works great! If you have a pulled barbecue chicken homemade recipe that you prefer, that works too for a “made from scratch” flavor.

How to Make Barbecue Chicken Mac and Cheese:
In a medium bowl, mix the sour cream and cooked shredded chicken mixture.
In a 9×13 casserole pan, begin layering with a cup of cooked macaroni. Next, layer with 1 1/2 cups of mixed blend shredded cheese.
Layer next with two cups of macaroni. Then, layer the rest of the chicken mix.
Next, layer with two cups of shredded mozzarella. Layer with a cup of macaroni. Finally, layer with half of a cup of mixed blend shredded cheese.
Bake at 350° F for 15-minutes until cheese is melted. Wait for about 10-minutes to cool. Top with fresh parsley and serve warm.
