Grilling season is here and our family is ready to celebrate our time together with our favorite BBQ sauce with balsamic vinegar and some of our favorite grilling essentials. Jesse is of Italian descent so it is fun to mix in flavor from his ancestry with the memories of my dad out grilling during the summer. Pulled pork is always a favorite with my BBQ sauce with balsamic vinegar but it can get messy. That’s why VIVA® Big Roll Paper Towels and New Kleenex® Wet Wipes Gentle Clean are grilling essentials for easy cleanup. Make memories, not messes!

Pork is great slow-cooked for pulled pork sandwiches, but did you know you can also grill it too? Grilling for pulled pork will provide a chunkier meat but the flavor of grilled pork loin, shredded into a mix of my BBQ sauce with balsamic vinegar has never tasted so good. Get ready for that perfect tangy taste with this easy grilling recipe.

Homemade BBQ Sauce with Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Recipe

  1. In a medium saucepan, add all of the ingredients together.
  2. Bring sauce to a simmer over medium heat and stir frequently until it begins to thicken.
  3. Once sauce is thickened, turn off heat and let the sauce cool.
  4. After grilling/cooking your meat, add sauce for pulled pork, steak, and other great dishes.

Grilling Essentials

Grilling essentials start with having durable cleaning cloths on hand. While grilling, it is wise to keep your BBQ tongs clean between flipping your food. This helps keep things from sticking to your tongs.

I recommend using VIVA® Big Roll Paper Towels for this because they are cloth-like and can handle it! I love the feeling of VIVA® Big Roll Paper Towels and the durability. They are soft for easy handling of utensils but they get the job done.

While enjoying your grilled finger foods, don’t forget the Kleenex Wet Wipes Gentle Clean. They are perfect for hands and face. My family and I noticed that we really only needed one Kleenex Wet Wipes Gentle Clean to clean up our saucy fingers.

Kleenex Wet Wipes Thick and Strong

Plus, they are thick, soft, and no harsh chemicals. Raise your hand if you’re excited to not have to deal with the pile of wipes in the middle of the table when eating outdoors. More room for food and less mess!

Kleenex Wet Wipes

I mentioned at the beginning of this post that my dad loved to grill during the summertime when I was growing up. Jesse and I are high school sweethearts so he spent many evenings over at my parent’s home for cookouts. My dad is a military veteran. He is also a stroke survivor so having family over at our place to grill is even more important now. We just never know what time we have left and we never take a moment for granted. My dad loves learning new grilling techniques and I love seeing him still enjoying life during his stroke recovery.

Kroger and these brands are partnering to support the USO, which is an organization that helps veterans. Another reason I am happy to choose Fred Meyer as my place to purchase VIVA® paper towels and Kleenex wet wipes. Memories of my dad grilling and having him still here to grill with us now inspires me to try new recipes for him to enjoy.

Get ready for BBQ season with these grilling essentials and my BBQ sauce with balsamic vinegar recipe. Try it by grilling pork for pulled pork sandwiches. You won’t be disappointed but you will be grabbing some VIVA® paper towels and Kleenex wet wipes for those saucy fingers and after grilling cleanup. I promise it will be easy and flavorful meals to enjoy. Make memories, not messes.
