If you’re in need of some savory and sweet, Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops is a perfect skillet meal to add to your meal plans. Not to mention the amazing aroma that will fill your home. I am all about the skillet meals. They are simple, easy and take no time to cook at all. A quick family dinner.

Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops warm the belly with this simple cast iron meal. A quick family skillet meal that is sweet and tasty.

This recipe is filled with love and warmth. A great cast iron meal. You’ll find that the apples create a great side too. You nearly have an entire family dinner in one skillet. A side of potatoes or veggies and you’re complete.

Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

  • 4 small thawed pork chops about 3/4 thick
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 Gala apples (, cored and thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 of large white onion (, thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of paprika
  • 2/3 cup apple cider
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper on each side to taste and set aside.
  2. Heat large skillet on medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter.
  3. Immediately add pork chops and cook until each side is golden brown.
  4. Transfer pork chops to platter and set aside to rest for 3 minutes.
  5. Melt another 1tbsp of butter over skillet, still on medium heat.
  6. Immediately add apples and onions, cook until apples are golden and onions are clear, stir often
  7. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and paprika.
  8. Stir in apple cider and heavy cream.
  9. Return pork chops into liquid.
  10. Let cook until pork chops reach 160° internal temp.
  11. Remove from heat and let pork chops rest, serve with mixture for garnish.
