This recipe is filled with love and warmth. A great cast iron meal. You’ll find that the apples create a great side too. You nearly have an entire family dinner in one skillet. A side of potatoes or veggies and you’re complete.

Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops
Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops
- 4 small thawed pork chops about 3/4 thick
- salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 Gala apples (, cored and thinly sliced)
- 1/2 of large white onion (, thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- pinch of paprika
- 2/3 cup apple cider
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper on each side to taste and set aside.
- Heat large skillet on medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter.
- Immediately add pork chops and cook until each side is golden brown.
- Transfer pork chops to platter and set aside to rest for 3 minutes.
- Melt another 1tbsp of butter over skillet, still on medium heat.
- Immediately add apples and onions, cook until apples are golden and onions are clear, stir often
- Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon and paprika.
- Stir in apple cider and heavy cream.
- Return pork chops into liquid.
- Let cook until pork chops reach 160° internal temp.
- Remove from heat and let pork chops rest, serve with mixture for garnish.
