A couple of weeks ago, my family and I took a short trip to visit the New Funko HQ in Everett, Washington. We live about an hour and a half south but it was completely worth the drive. I didn’t go in with much expectation but I was blown away.
Funko has become a hit. These Pop Culture toys are one of our favorite things to collect. I feel like they bring back a bit of our childhood from Fraggle Rock to Princess Bride. If you are collecting Funko and are ever in the Pacific Northwest, put this your travel bucket list.
This must stop place is a Funko Shop of dreams. Wall to wall Funko can be found here. Funko POP! Disney, Funko POP! Stranger Things, you name it. Plus, there are themed rooms and oversized-characters to take video and photos with. You also can’t pass up all of the other merchandise they carry there like Loungefly.
Our kids were simply enchanted by this place. Can you imagine being 4-years-old and seeing the Hulk in practically life-size? Our son was thrilled!
You can even create your very own personalized Funko at the POP! Factory. We haven’t done this yet but on our next trip (which I think will be very soon) we will. The area is so colorful and perfect for Instagram photos.
The staff is also amazing. We had a few questions about character releases and they were more than accommodating in giving us ideas of when new Funko are coming to the shop and where to find more about them. You can tell that everyone there enjoys working here. Hmmm…reminds me of another place I know…Disney.
This is not a place to miss while in the area. Even if you don’t collect Funko, you’ll be immersed in fun Pop Culture. From Harry Potter to Gotham favorites, don’t pass it up! Be sure to follow Funko on social media to know about upcoming releases and other events.
