Bedtime routines for kids are not always easy to develop. The struggle of bedtime is a very real issue. We all need a little help sometimes.
Disney to the rescue on this one! Just another reason why I love Disney. They are always thinking of ways to help families enjoy the best magic in life.
Help Develop Bedtime Routines
Disney store and shopDisney have launched a new “Sleep Shop” assortment of children’s sleep items to help with bedtime routines.
I personally adore the themed nighttime routine rewards charts and light-up tumblers. My kids are always asking for water before bedtime and these cups are perfectly themed with a sleepy-time glow.
Disney has also teamed up with Lauren Olson, a certified pediatric sleep coach and founder of “Sleep and the City” to give her top tips to help parents troubleshoot common sleep challenges.
Here are Lauren’s top tips for common sleep challenges:
This is common! If your child is waking up every morning before 6 am, it’s time to invest in
Won’t Go to Sleep
If your child suddenly refuses to fall asleep on their own or is waking up in the middle of the night, consider introducing a “friend” which is only offered a sleepy time. This can be a blanket or favorite stuffed animal, like the new Cuddleez! This oversized plush can even double as a pillow for toddlers when traveling.
Consistency is key. Decide on a consistent, yet flexible schedule that works for your life and
Scared at Night
If your child tells you they are scared at night, introduce a “nighttime friend” that is only offered at
Disney Store’s Sleep Shop Hotline
If you are struggling with bedtime routines, add a little Disney magic! The new Disney store’s Sleep Shop Hotline is now available through August 31, 2018. Enough time to really implement a good routine of brushing teeth, dressing for bed, and getting under the covers.
Limit one message per call. If calling using a mobile phone, standard mobile charges may apply. Available through the United States and Canada.
The toll-free number, 1-877-7-MICKEY, has five special messages from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Goofy to give kids something to look forward to at bedtime.
What a magical way to head to bed! My kids loved calling last night. So much so that we heard from both Minnie and Mickey. They even went and brushed their teeth without a fight!
Bedtime routines sometimes need a little help to encourage good sleep in kids. Disney store and shop Disney have gone above and beyond in helping parents with their new nighttime assortments, tips from an expert, and the new hotline.
I know our family is excited to call the hotline every evening this month and I hope yours is too. Sweet dreams!
