Mickey Mouse Krispie Treats are my absolute favorite sweet to enjoy at the Disney Parks. Making similar ones at home is very easy.
Plus, if you need Mickey Mouse birthday ideas, these will fit perfectly on the menu.
I am sure you will have everyone asking how you made these magical sweets too. Kids love them too, of course. Here is how to make them!
Where can I buy a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter?
If you are ever creating magical cookies or other fun Disney themed sweets, a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter is a must to have on hand.
I personally prefer to purchase mine from Amazon. They have a great selection and the one I own happens to have a nice plastic rim on the top that makes it much more ergonomic to use.

Where to get the best Mickey Mouse Krispie Treats at Walt Disney World
Also, if you want to grab the best Mickey Mouse Krispie Treats in Walt Disney World, I highly suggest going to Big Top Souvenirs.
They have a quick service inside that sells all different kinds of goodies. The chocolate drizzled with M&M’s Krispie treat is my favorite!

- miniature marshmallows
- butter
- Black candy wafer melts
- Red candy wafer melts
- White nonpareil sprinkles
You will also need:
- Mickey Mouse cookie cutter
- Wax paper
How to Make Mickey Mouse Krispie Treats
Prepare a 13 x 9 baking sheet with wax paper and a spritz of non-stick cooking spray.
Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. When the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and melt, stirring constantly. Remove the saucepan from heat.
Fold in the cereal. Stir until the cereal is coated in the marshmallow.
Using a buttered spatula or greased wax paper evenly press mixture into a baking sheet. Cool completely.
Use the cookie cutter to cut treats. If the treats are loose, press additional crispy mixture into the cookie cutter before releasing the shape onto waxed paper. Reshape the remaining cereal in your baking pan until all are used.
Place black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Mel ton high heat, stirring every 30 seconds until completely melted. Do not overheat. If the candy is too thick, add vegetable shortening or coconut oil in 1 teaspoon increments, up to 1 tablespoon, and stir well. Do not add water.
Lightly dip one side of a treat into the melted candy. Allow to set before proceeding to the next step.
Melt red candy melts. Spoon melted chocolate over the bottom half of the treat allowing excess to drip back into the bowl. Immediately press two nonpareils into place as buttons.
Allow to dry completely before packaging or storing.
The perfect party idea or upcoming gathering this summer. When you can’t get to the Disney Parks, you can at least enjoy something that takes you back.
Who doesn’t love anything Mickey shapes? Especially when it involves chocolate.
Can I use marshmallow cream instead of marshmallows?
You can use a 7.5-ounce jar of marshmallow creams instead of the marshmallows for this recipe.
Keep in mind that you will need to still mix it on low heat with the butter but this step will go very quickly since the marshmallows will be already “melted”.
Do not burn or overheat or the mixture will harden.
