Do you remember your childhood with Paddington Bear? If you love the Paddington Bear movies, I have some fun Paddington Bear Movie Night ideas for your today!
I remember having a Paddington Bear in Kindergarten where one child was picked every weekend to bring him home to care for.
I would wait every week on Friday hoping to be chosen. Finally, one week I was picked!
I cuddled with that bear, took him on my adventures, and enjoyed every second of giving Paddington a home.
And that is exactly what Paddington is all about. Finding himself in a new place, a new family, and finally finding “home”.

We had a wonderful family night, gathered around the television while sitting picnic style in the living room.
After all, Paddington Bear does enjoy a good picnic with marmalade sandwiches. We delighted in marmalade tea cakes and cucumber with cream cheese and dill.
Family time is so precious for us with very busy schedules. A reason we truly try and take time for these special moments.
Earlier that day, my daughter helped with baking up some Paddington Bear Red Hat cupcakes.
We built our own cupcake tower by using small drinking glasses and dessert platters to stack onto one another. We then strung a fun Paddington banner to one of the plates for a fun presentation.
Of course, what is a movie night without popcorn? I put together these adorable Paddington treat bags.
They were very simple to make and were perfect for mixing popcorn and graham cracker bears for a special treat during the movie.
Paddington Bear Movie Night Treat Bags How-To
What You Need
Instructions
- Begin by cutting about two inches off the top of each brown bag – save that paper for later
- Cut out of red construction paper a Paddington Bear Hat – I simply free cut by looking at a photo online
- Take the extra brown paper bag you cut earlier from the top and cut out two small “bear ears” – Cut these by just creating a “U” shape from the bottom of the extra paper
- Use tape (when in a pinch for drying time) or glue – just a small amount on each side of the top of the front of the brown bag
- Press the ears on each side of the paper with the tape or glue
- Add another bit of tape or glue to the center top of the front of the brown bag and press the red hat to where the ears “peak through” the top
- Use the black marker to create two dots for eyes, a small dot in the center for the nose and then draw out a smile – add freckles lightly for that furry look
- Let dry if using glue and open to fill with fun treats for your movie night with Paddington
We enjoyed our Paddington Bear Movie Night as a family together and introducing our children to some of our own childhood memories.
I personally loved the cinematography of the film and seeing a classic loved story come to life literally on the live-action film.
We all enjoyed the movie and found it captivating. Certainly one I would recommend for the collection.
