Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Cookies

Jump to Recipe

Do you know someone or are you someone who loves Reese’s Peanut Butter candy as much as my husband does? If so, I have a Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Cookies recipe just for you.

When I purchased the REESE’S Baking Cups and REESE’S PIECES Candy candy bag to make cookies, I noticed that there wasn’t any cookie recipe on the back of the bag.

There is an awesome brownie mix recipe but nothing for making cookies. This took me on a hunt to make a recipe that would bring the peanut butter cup flavor home.

These peanut butter cookies are perfect because they are just the right amount of peanut butter to satisfy.

The entire cookie is soft and tastes just like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Plus, the pieces of candy inside offers that “stuffed” texture. It reminds me of the Reese’s Stuffed With Pieces Candy but in cookie form.

Chocolate peanut butter cookies will make any Reese’s lover go crazy. My mom even enjoyed them and she isn’t one for peanut butter.

How to Make Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Cookies

In a mixer, cream together peanut butter, softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until well blended. Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture into the peanut butter mixture and mix together.

Hand mix in a bag REESE’S Baking Cups and REESE’S PIECES Candy.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set oven to 375°.

Spoon about 1-inch dough balls onto the lined baking sheet. Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Do not over bake.

You want the chocolate to melt a little but not the candy chips.

Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for roughly 5-minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool. Cool completely before transferring to a serving platter and enjoy.

How long does it take for cookies to completely cool?

Here is a funny thing. I used to be terrible at baking cookies because I thought they had to be completely baked before coming out of the oven. Not so. A cookie still continues to bake once removed from the oven.

For a softer texture, be sure to leave your cookies on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool.

For a crisper texture, transfer only after about 1 minute.

The Reason You Should Salt Cookies with Candy Chips In Them

As my best friend always says to me, be sure to use a pinch of salt in any cookies with candy chips in them.

This helps intensify the flavor of the smooth chocolate. Never omit the salt from the recipe if you can avoid it.

Who needs chocolate chips when this peanut butter flavor cookie has candy inside? These cookies will be sure to please any time of year.

I know they didn’t last long in this Reese’s loving home and nope, they aren’t sorry.
