How to make Sour Cream Sugar Cookies
Preheat oven to 350° and line a baking sheet. In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract at high speed.
Follow with the sour cream and mix well. Whisk flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a separate mixing bowl. On low speed, slowing mix in flour mixture into the sour cream mixture. Mix well until combined.
Drop tablespoon size of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheet about 2-inches apart. Wet the bottom of a glass, dip into sugar, and press the flat end into each dough drop. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until very lightly browned.
