“Finding Dory” is FINALLY in theatres! I remember how amazed I was by “Finding Nemo” and the beauty of the ocean that Disney Pixar captured. I also felt like “Finding Nemo” had an underlining story of caring for our oceans and wildlife, and I get the feeling “Finding Dory” will touch even deeper into this important message.
Be sure to take a good look at the “Selecting the Right Pet Fish” handout in the Activity Packet. It is a great way for families and kids to understand more about raising pet fish. It also carries a great message for those who want to bring Dory home. Blue tangs, like Dory, do not make good pets. I am so happy to see Disney encourage the love of our fishy friends, but also give the understanding that some fish aren’t meant for aquariums. For those who do make great pets, this fact sheet is a great tool to teach how to properly chose which fish are great for home aquariums.
