A trip to Great Wolf Lodge is the perfect weekend getaway, but can it get better? A Great Wolf Lodge Cabana rental might just do that.

If you have ever been to the water park and are looking for a way to make your stay more relaxing, here is how.

Great Wolf Lodge Cabana Sign in Water Park

The cabanas at Great Wolf Lodge vary by location. Our Great Wolf Lodge location in Grand Mound, Washington, offers two sized cabanas.

Depending on the size of your party, both can offer privacy and a place to regroup while enjoying the water park.

How Many People Fit in a Great Wolf Lodge Cabana

Grand Mound Great Wolf Lodge Cabana sizes are Majestic and Grizzly. Both are offered indoors near the kiddie pool area of the park. The Majestic is the smaller of the two with the Grizzly offering room for up to eleven.

We rented the Majestic cabana during our stay. Our party consisted of four adults and two children. It wasn’t overly roomy with all of us in the cabana at one time, but it wasn’t terrible either. We honestly were only all in the same room during lunch and when we first arrived.

Honestly, it worked out perfectly as a “home base” for everyone. We were able to store our things, relax for a minute when we needed, and have all our towels in on place. No fighting over chairs in the water park or concern about our towels being taken which might result in a charge.

How to Rent a Cabana at Great Wolf Lodge

You can rent a cabana by either calling 800.640.9653 or using the “chat now” button on Great Wolf Lodge’s website. If you already have a reservation at the lodge, it might show as a second reservation on your profile. Just a heads up to keep an eye on it as their system sometimes works a little wonky.

Our Great Wolf Lodge Cabana Experience

Each cabana provides enough towels for everyone in the party. If you are not comfortable with your valuables stored in the cabana while away, a locker is also provided for your party in the locker room that is right next door to the cabanas at Grand Mound.

The refrigerator is also fully stocked with juice, soda, and water. They will refill it with a small extra cost, but we had plenty. You also will have a lovely host available to you who will show you around the cabana. They will also be on call to order/deliver food and beverages as needed.

Keep in mind that the cost of food and extra beverages (i.e. alcoholic beverages) is not included with the cabana. The easiest way would be to add it is as a room charge or charged toward your meal plan.

Each cabana also has a television which makes for a nice little break from the water park. Our kids love the Great Wolf Lodge Kids cartoons that play so they enjoyed relaxing for a little bit after lunch and watching them. I also noticed two outlets in our cabana which was perfect for charging devices.

Besides having our own table and chairs to enjoy lunch at, it was nice to have a quiet place away from the busy of the water park. Depending on the season, it can get busy and finding places to sit or relax can be difficult. This ultimately is what the price 100% worth it.

A few recommendations I have for you if you decide to rent a Great Wolf Lodge Cabana:

The Floors Get Very Slick

Be sure to put down towels at the entrance and walk areas. It can get very slick on the cabana floor and our daughter took a small tumble when she got out of the pool area.

Ordering Food at the Cabana

You can order food from different locations so if everyone has a hankering for different things, don’t be afraid to ask. Your host will more than likely be willing to deliver food from different quick services. Just be understanding that it might take them some extra time and be sure to leave a nice tip.

Leaving a Tip for Your Host

This reminds me that you can either tip your host directly or leave it at the front desk. Leaving the tip at the front desk can leave room for writing a quick note of thanks. Your host will be grateful.

Rent Your Cabana on the Day of Arrival

The reason I mention to do this is so that you can get into the water park much earlier than regular check-in times. When you rent a cabana, you can get into the water park at the opening. Sometimes as early as 10 am. During our stay, the water park opened at 9 am and we could enter then.

This made for a great first day to utilize more time in the water park and left our second day freed up for things like MagiQuest and the arcade.

The cabana rentals at Great Wolf Lodge make for a relaxing stay while at the water park. I especially recommend this if you have small children, an elder family member, or someone who needs more breaks in your party. Having personal space during the busy times of the day was worth the cost alone.

If you are interested in upgrading your vacation to Great Wolf Lodge, consider a cabana for your family. I think it will truly take your vacation to the next level of fun.
