Kid-Friendly Croissant with Turkey, Mozzarella, and Tomato

by Krystal Chiarolla 2 Comments

I always want to make something “more” for my kids when it comes to lunchtime. Something outside of the usual PB&J or chicken nuggets. Maybe a kid-friendly croissant?

Trust me, I’m on the go too and get it. No judgment here for quick and easy lunches.

However, I am finding that playing around more with lunch ideas that I can still find quick lunches that pack some healthy factors still. My kid-friendly croissant with turkey, mozzarella, and tomato is perfect for lunch ideas and even back to school.

Kid-Friendly Lunch Ideas

My kids are picky but they love this lunch idea. My kids are always telling me how much they “hate” certain foods.

You know? The foods they have never actually eaten before?

With this kid-friendly croissant, I have yet to hear complaints about the tomato or turkey involved. Moms everywhere, rejoice!

Kid-Friendly Croissant

Using Pillsbury® Crescents, I simply lay them out on a baking sheet after preheating our oven. I slice a small piece of mozzarella cheese from a fresh block and cut grape tomatoes in thin slices.

I then lay over the cheese first, turkey and then the tomatoes. Simply roll up the dough into a croissant and bake for nine minutes. Cool and you have a “small hands” friendly sandwich with some hidden goods inside.

These are even great to make prior to an adventure with family, throw them into a sealed bag, and go! Adults will love them too.

They keep us fueled and ready to go during our day. I think they would even make for a great breakfast idea.
