For our daughter’s birthday, we decided to give her the royal treatment and we booked an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I had heard many times over that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was incredibly expensive but we decided on a top package anyway: The Castle Package. We also booked out The Knight Package for our son so he could join in on the fun. I could not have been happier with their experience.
The Castle Package is $199.95 plus tax. The Knight Package is $19.95 plus tax. All prices are subject to change. While The Castle Package might seem like a steep price, I believe every penny spent is worth it.
The Castle Package includes:
– Hairstyling
– Shimmering makeup and face gem
– Princess necklace, sash and cinch sack
– Nail polish
– Disney Princess gown of your choice (shoes are not included)
– Wand
– Crown
The Knight Package includes:
– Hairstyling
– Foam shield and sword
We booked our daughter and son’s visit to the Bibbidi Bobbodi Boutique in Cinderella Castle and Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom. While there is another location at Disney Springs, I thought the magic of Cinderella Castle would add to their experience.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – What to Expect
When we walked in, our daughter and son were greeted by Fairy Godmothers. Our daughter was given time to select which dress she wanted as a part of The Castle Package.
There was a wonderful variety available including some of her favorite princesses like Ariel, Belle, Anna, and even Elena of Avalor. Our daughter was so excited that she had a hard time choosing which princess dress she wanted. She finally decided on Aurora and what a gorgeous dress it is.
Our son was shown the shield and sword he would receive in The Knight Package. He loved the Maleficent dragon on the shield and was just as excited as his sister to be a part of the magic.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Isn’t Just for Girls!
In fact, if you are considering if your son will enjoy the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, don’t be afraid to book one of The Knight Packages. At 4-years-old during his visit, our son had a great time enjoying the attention from his Fairy Godmother and being made into a knight.
A princess makeover is fun but being knighted is just as great too! If your daughter is also more into knights than being a princess, this is a great package to enjoy.
Magical Moments
When it was time for our daughter to be called back and receive her dress, the presentation just about had me in tears. It was so beautifully done! A Fairy Godmother brought us back to the dressing room and had Annie say the magic words of “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” to open the curtain, revealing her dress. Included in The Castle Package was also a matching crown and scepter. They include just about everything minus the shoes.
Seeing Annie so excited about her dress and the magic of that moment is something I don’t think either one of us will ever forget. It ran through my mind how precious this will be when she gets married one day and we share a similar moment again as she adorns her wedding gown. Here come the tears again.
Once dressed, it was time for Annie and Trenton to hop up into their makeover chairs and be worked on by their Fairy Godmothers. Funny enough, Trenton was the first to claim a seat and jumped right up. The Fairy Godmothers all got a kick out of him and how excited he was.
Trenton’s Fairy Godmother was so fantastic. Of course, so was Annie’s. I loved how Trenton’s Fairy Godmother gave him “dragon spikes” in his hair and he even was knighted in a small ceremony orchestrated by his Fairy Godmother. He was sworn in to protect his sister.
While Trenton was being transformed into a knight, Annie was being pampered by her Fairy Godmother with her nails being painted, her hair perfectly placed, and her makeup done. I don’t think her smile left her face for quite some time. From the sparkles to putting on her birthday sash on, every moment was so sweet.
Which reminds me. Be sure to mention if this package is being booked for a special birthday. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers a special birthday sash and even a sparkly birthday button that I have never seen anywhere else.
During the makeover and grand reveal, PhotoPass is also there taking photos. While I took my own video and photos, it was nice to have PhotoPass there so I could sit back and enjoy more of the moment. The Memory Maker is perfect as an add-on to commemorate this time.
Is Bibbidi Bobbidu Boutique Worth It?
Bibbidi Bobbodi Boutique is truly worth every penny. For both of our kids to have a truly magical experience for just under $250, I couldn’t beat it. If you think about it, the princess gowns alone can easily go for around $100 within the parks. Their Fairy Godmothers both took the time to let them enjoy the experience and have fun. We were there for well over an hour.
If you have it within your budget to book an experience like this, I recommend it. I think this is something our kids will be talking about for a long time. Trenton still walks around telling everyone that he is a knight.
Reservations can be made 180-days in advance and I highly recommend doing so. Walk-ins are very rare and this is something you don’t want to miss. For reservations, call 407 WDW STYLE (939-7835). A credit card is required and faces a $10 fee for not showing up or if the reservation is not canceled 24 hours in advance.
I do think we will return to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the future to experience some of their smaller packages but this birthday surprise, The Castle Package was the best choice we could have made. Simply spectacular.
